JR was born and raised in Lincoln, AL and is currently a resident of Homewood. Before opening his State Farm agency in 2017, JR spent 11 years in military intelligence with United States Air Force Special Operations Command and is an Afghanistan veteran. Aside from his duties as a State Farm agent, JR currently is a member of Homewood Rotary and Homewood American Legion, and he is an ambassador for the Homewood Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Executive Leadership Committee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Birmingham, is an ambassador for Young Professionals of Birmingham, and is the President of the Advisory Council for the Firehouse Shelter for the homeless in Birmingham.
